SUMMARY:Paradise Meadow Hike (Lassen Volcanic National Park)
DESCRIPTION:Paradise Meadow Hike \nLassen Volcanic National Park \nSaturday\, August 5 at 8 am \nJoin us in hiking to the beautiful Paradise Meadow\, a three-mile hike of moderate difficulty starting at 6400 ft. elevation! We’ll make our way to the meadows for lunch and continue up the trail afterward for about half a mile to observe the changing plant life as we move from rich damp organic soil to dryer volcanic ash.  \nThe total mileage for this hike is about four miles with an elevation gain of 1\,000 ft.  \nThis field trip will focus on identifying and learning all the conifers and shrubs on the trail. There will still be wildflowers in bloom\, even though it is past the peak blooming period. Learn about seven different trees and 10 different shrubs\, plus several wildflowers.  \nMeet at the Mt.
